"Hi, I’m Whitney, owner of Baby Cakes of Florida. I have a little guy named Jack and I’ve had to go through just about everything a mom has to go through to raise him. In the last couple of years I’ve been to many baby showers, however there was something unique that happened every time I would make a Baby Cake for the expecting mother, suddenly there were comments, excitement, and a bit of awe. My Baby Cakes were a hit!

A few months ago I made 2 baby cakes for 2 of my friends going to different baby showers and I heard they were just as much a hit as I remembered! So I thought to myself, if my friends like these baby cakes that I put together, perhaps more people will.

I called my brother, Gary, and sister in law, Evelyn, and asked them if it was a good idea to put a website together, and they were all about it! They own the website business Webskinz. So Evelyn helped me get the domain name / space, and my brother made this website. I needed pictures and more baby cakes so I asked my husband, Steve, if he could take pictures of the cakes for the website and I asked my mom, Lois, if she could knit more baby hats & blankets for the cakes. As you can tell, these aren't just run of the mill Baby Cakes, each one has unique qualities and are supported by a family Baby Cake enthusiasts.

I have a lot of cakes posted on the site but what is important for you to know is: If there is something you would like that I don't have please feel free to contact me and we'll see what we can do to accommodate your ideas. I have even had friends ship unique items for additions to a Baby Cake, making them all the more individualized and fun."
